Medical SEO for clinics that want more booked patients, not more reports.
I'm Muhammad Haseeb Sheikh, a medical SEO specialist. I find the one thing stopping patients from finding and choosing your practice on Google and in AI answers, and fix it first. One allergy clinic went from page two to page one, and from 7,650 to 48,200 organic clicks in six months.
Every result on this page is the practice's own Search Console, with account URLs cropped. The first step is a free diagnostic: no card, no obligation, and the findings are yours to keep.
Start with a free diagnostic
Free · one constraint · no obligation
- The one thing capping your practice's growth
- The first fix to make, in plain language
- Written summary within two business days
The same first step as every paid engagement. Yours to keep either way.
What is medical SEO?
Medical SEO, also called healthcare SEO, is the work of getting a clinic found and chosen when patients search Google, Google Maps and AI assistants for a condition, treatment or provider. Muhammad Haseeb Sheikh is a medical SEO specialist who works constraint-first: he finds the one layer capping a practice's growth, from technical access to trust signals to the booking path, and fixes it before anything else, using the constraint-first method.
The service
What does a medical SEO specialist do for a clinic?
A medical SEO specialist gets your practice found and chosen when patients search for a condition, treatment or provider, then turns those visits into calls and bookings. In practice that means working on six things, in the order your practice needs them.
What patients search
The words patients use for their symptoms and treatments, which are rarely the words on your service menu.
Technical access
Whether Google can crawl and index your pages at all. Indexing problems can hide whole sections of a practice site.
Service and condition pages
One page per treatment and condition, written the way patients describe them, each with one job to do.
Trust signals
Provider bios, credentials, reviews and real outcomes, placed where they change a patient's decision.
The booking path
The route from a search result to a call or a booked slot. Visibility is wasted if this leaks.
Measurement
Calls, bookings and organic clicks, tracked monthly, so the work is steered by outcomes rather than rankings.
Before you spend anything
How do I know if SEO will work for my practice?
Ask for a diagnosis before a proposal. My free diagnostic names the one constraint holding your practice back and the first fix, within two business days. If your site is already sound and you only need patience, I'll tell you that too.
Three signs search is the thing costing you patients. If patients can’t find you at all, start with why a clinic isn’t showing on Google.
You rank for your name, not your treatments
People who already know you find you. People searching for allergy shots, a sinus specialist or a primary care doctor near them find the practice down the road.
The map goes to whoever earned more trust
A handful of practices show on the map. If yours isn't one of them, you're competing for what's left.
Your reports show rankings. Your front desk sees no new calls.
A report full of green arrows doesn't pay for itself. Calls and bookings do, and they're what I report on.
The proof
What results can a practice expect from medical SEO?
Results depend on your market and starting point, so here are three real ones from practices I've worked with, including one that looks wrong at first glance. Each is a screenshot of the practice's own Search Console.
Timeline
How long does medical SEO take to work?
Technical fixes can show in Search Console within weeks; meaningful growth in patient searches usually takes three to six months. The flagship clinic's results above were measured over six months. Anyone who promises a date is guessing, because Google sets the pace.
What the first months look like:
The free diagnostic
You book a slot or email your site. I find the one constraint and the first fix, and send it back within two business days.
A decision map
If you go ahead, everything that could be done is ranked by what relieves the constraint first, following the five phases of the method. You see what I will fix, what I will build and what I will ignore.
Work, reported as patients
Changes ship in that order. Each month you get calls, bookings and organic clicks against the month before, in plain language, using the SEO metrics that matter to a practice.
Cost
How much does medical SEO cost?
It depends on what your constraint needs, so I scope the work after the free diagnostic. You see the plan and the price before anything is agreed, and you pay for work that relieves the constraint, not a fixed bundle of tasks.
A practice whose site Google can't index needs different work from one that ranks well but loses callers on the booking page. Pricing both the same way means one of them pays for work it doesn't need.
For the market ranges, what each budget buys and how to set one, read how much medical SEO costs.
Patient privacy
Is medical SEO safe for patient privacy and HIPAA?
It is when it's done without patient data, and mine is. Reporting uses aggregate numbers from Search Console, Google Analytics and your Business Profile, and no patient details go into pages, case studies or reports. Your own compliance team stays the authority on your policies.
Specialist or general agency
How is medical SEO different from general SEO?
Medical SEO is held to a higher bar. Google applies stricter quality standards to health pages than to most topics, and four things change what works and what comes first.
- Trust decides rankings. Who wrote a page and what backs it up matter as much as the words on it. My guide to E-E-A-T for medical websites shows how to prove it.
- Local by default. Most patients look for care near them, so your Google Business Profile and the map results often matter more than any blog post.
- Privacy limits what you can publish. HIPAA in the US and UK GDPR in the UK rule out using patient details.
- The booking path decides the outcome. A visit only becomes a patient if calling or booking is easy from the page someone lands on.
Hiring checklist
What should I ask before hiring a medical SEO consultant?
Ask for proof in healthcare, how results are reported, and what they won't do. Here are the questions worth putting to anyone you consider, with my answers.
- Do you have healthcare case studies?
- Yes: Cure Allergy Clinic, Vitality DPC, Purposeful Healing DPC and Jersey Family Health, each with Search Console screenshots on the case studies page.
- How do you report results?
- Monthly, in calls, bookings and organic clicks.
- Do you guarantee rankings?
- No. Google sets rankings, so a guarantee is a guess.
- How do you build links?
- Only where they change a patient's decision, such as accurate directory profiles and real local mentions. Never bulk link packages.
- Who reviews the medical content?
- Your clinical team, before anything is published.
- Who owns the website and accounts?
- You do. Your site, content and Google accounts stay in your name.
Why me
Why do clinics choose Muhammad Haseeb Sheikh for medical SEO?
Because the proof is from practices like theirs, the work starts with a diagnosis rather than a package, and success is measured in patients. Four reasons practice owners give for working with me:
Proof from real practices
Allergy, direct primary care and family practices, each shown in its own Search Console. Nothing is a mock-up or a projection.
A diagnosis before a proposal
The free diagnostic finds the one constraint first, so you never pay for a bundle of tasks your practice doesn't need.
Reported in patients, not rankings
Every month you see calls, bookings and organic clicks against the month before, in plain language.
Honest about what won't work
No ranking guarantees and no bulk links. If your site only needs patience, I'll tell you, even when that means no project.
Who you work with
Who will actually work on my practice's SEO?
I will. You deal with me directly, from the diagnostic to the monthly report, with no account manager in between.
I've worked in SEO since 2022, most of it with healthcare practices, and I'm Google Analytics (GA4) and Semrush certified. My background, work history and certifications are on the about page.
Fit
Which practices is medical SEO right for?
Practices where patients search before they book: independent practices, direct primary care clinics and multi-location specialty groups. If you run a hospital system with an in-house SEO team, you probably don't need me.
Direct primary care
Membership practices that can't count on insurer directories to send patients. Vitality Direct Primary Care grew from 4.24k to 8.37k organic clicks in six months. See SEO for direct primary care.
Allergy and immunology
Search-first specialties where patients compare clinics before they book. The flagship healthcare SEO case study is an allergy and immunology clinic. See SEO for allergy and immunology practices.
Family and multi-location practices
Practices that need every location and service found for the conditions it treats. Jersey Family Health went from 104 to 669 organic clicks in a quarter. See SEO for family practices.
