White label SEO is usually priced per client per month. Basic local packages commonly cost an agency $300 to $600, content-led packages $600 to $1,500, and full-service packages $1,500 to $5,000. Agencies typically resell at two to three times the wholesale price. Judge a price by what is delivered and reported each month, not by the number alone.
I’m Muhammad Haseeb Sheikh, an SEO specialist who delivers white-label SEO for agencies, including a US agency’s client portfolio today. I set my own packages after seeing both sides: agencies paying for work that never reached their clients, and providers underpricing until the quality slipped. This guide covers white label SEO pricing from the agency’s side: what the market charges, what each price should buy, how to mark it up, and the costs that don’t appear on the price list.
How much does white label SEO cost?
Most providers charge a fixed fee per client per month, and the price follows the amount of work each month, not the size of the client. If you are new to the model, what white label SEO is covers how the work and billing flow.
These are typical wholesale prices, drawn from a 2026 white-label pricing breakdown and from provider price lists. Treat them as ranges, not quotes.
| Tier | Typical wholesale price | What it usually covers |
|---|---|---|
| Local or entry | $300–$600 a month | Google Business Profile, citations, on-page fixes on a few pages, a report |
| Content-led | $600–$1,500 a month | Everything above plus monthly articles, keyword research and internal links |
| Full-service | $1,500–$5,000 a month | Content, link building, technical work and strategy for competitive markets |
| One-off audit | A fixed fee per site | A crawl, an indexing check and a prioritized fix list, often used for pitches |
For comparison, my own packages are $400 per client per month for Local and $650 for Growth, with a $250 one-off audit. The full contents are on the white-label SEO page.
What should each white label SEO price include?
Specific, countable deliverables, written down before the first invoice. If a package says “ongoing optimization” without numbers, you can’t check it and neither can your client.
- At the local tier: a technical audit in the first month, Google Business Profile management with regular posts, citation building and cleanup, a set number of pages optimized each month, and a monthly report.
- At the content tier: the above, plus a set number of articles a month written for real search intent, schema markup and an internal linking plan.
- At the full-service tier: the above, plus link building with named outreach targets, competitor tracking and a quarterly strategy review.
In every tier, ask who does the work, where reports come from, and what happens when a client’s site has a problem outside the package, such as a hacked page or a broken migration.
How much should you charge clients for white label SEO?
Two to three times your wholesale cost is the common range; the pricing breakdown above says most successful agencies apply a 2x to 3x markup.
Here is the math for one client on a mid-tier package:
- You charge the client $1,500 a month, a typical small-business SEO retainer.
- You pay the provider $650 a month.
- You keep $850 a month, or $10,200 a year, from one client.
Set your price from the client’s side, not the provider’s. A retainer in the $500–$1,000 range is the most common for small businesses in SE Ranking’s SEO pricing survey, so a local package resold at $1,000 to $1,500 needs a clear story about calls and bookings, not rankings alone.
What hidden costs come with white label SEO?
The price list is rarely the whole bill. Check these before you sign:
- Setup or onboarding fees charged once per client.
- Minimum terms of three, six or twelve months, which leave you paying for a client who has already left.
- Content and links billed separately from a package that sounded all-inclusive.
- Reporting extras: a dashboard tool or white-label report billed per client.
- Revision limits on articles and pages, which turn your feedback into extra invoices.
- Your own time. Every hour your team spends rewriting reports or chasing the provider comes out of your margin.
The biggest cost is not on any invoice. If a cheap package fails to move results, the client cancels, and you lose $12,000 to $30,000 a year in retainer revenue to save a few hundred dollars a month.
Why do white label SEO prices vary so much?
Because providers deliver very different things under the same name.
- Automation versus people. Low prices usually mean automated audits and template reports with little hands-on work.
- Where links come from. Cheap link packages often rely on private networks or paid placements, which risk a penalty for your client’s site.
- Content quality. Mass-produced articles cost little and rarely rank, especially in sectors like healthcare where Google expects real expertise. That is why white-label healthcare SEO needs a specialist rather than a content mill.
- Capacity. A provider with hundreds of clients per specialist can charge less because each client gets minutes, not hours.
How do you compare white label SEO pricing between providers?
Compare the cost per deliverable, not the package price. Ask each provider for the same five things, and for the rest of the vetting see how to choose a white label SEO provider:
- A sample monthly report, so you can check it is something you would forward to a client. My guide to white label SEO reporting shows what a good one contains.
- The deliverables in numbers: pages, articles, posts and citations per month.
- The contract terms: minimum term, notice period and exit fees.
- Who does the work, and whether it is the same person each month.
- A trial: a free or paid audit on one of your real clients’ sites.
The audit tells you more than any price sheet. If the findings are generic, the monthly work will be too.
A note for UK agencies
The prices in this guide, mine included, are in US dollars, so convert them at the day’s exchange rate when you set your client prices in pounds. The markup logic and the hidden costs are the same.

Frequently asked questions
How much does white label SEO cost per client?
Most providers charge per client per month. Basic local packages commonly cost an agency $300 to $600, content packages $600 to $1,500, and full-service packages with content, links and technical work $1,500 to $5,000. One-off audits are usually priced separately.
How much should an agency mark up white label SEO?
A 2x to 3x markup on the wholesale price is common. An agency paying $650 a month for a package and charging the client $1,500 keeps $850 a month, before its own account management time.
Why is some white label SEO so cheap?
Very low prices usually mean automated reports, generic content, bought links or work shared across hundreds of clients. The saving disappears if the client sees no results and cancels, because the agency loses the whole retainer, not just the wholesale cost.
Should white label SEO be billed monthly or per project?
Ongoing SEO suits a monthly per-client fee, because the work and the reporting repeat every month. One-off work such as an audit, a migration or a cleanup suits a fixed project price.
